This set of tiles was inspired by Art Deco ornaments in Mumbai, India. This city was the backdrop to my childhood and I am lucky to be able to visit it every year. Mumbai is one of the few cities in the world that still has a heritage of Art-Deco-inspired buildings.

Walking past buildings on Marine Drive that have checkered tiles or discovering circular floral motifs in old cinema houses and courts is such a joy.
